Catalog analytics for your lighting store

A panel in your dashboard that tells you whether your catalog is being used, which lamps draw interest and how many visits turn into an inquiry.

In short

Lucy’s catalog analytics show how many visitors your store had over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, how many lamps they opened and how often they tapped the WhatsApp button, compared with the previous period. They add a day-by-day chart, your most viewed lamps, where visits come from, which devices people use and what they search for. It’s all in your dashboard, with nothing to set up.

What the numbers can tell you

  • Whether the QR code works

You put the QR code in the window and visits rise over the next few days. That’s a simple sign people are scanning it.

  • Where people come from

Visits are grouped by the site or app that sent them, like Instagram, Facebook or Google. Visits with no source, like QR code scans, show as direct.

  • Which lamps draw interest

Your most viewed lamps, with the WhatsApp inquiries each one gets, tell you what to keep on display, in stock or in the window.

  • What customers search for

The words people type into your store’s search show what they expect to find, including things you don’t carry yet.

  • When they visit

Visits by hour of day and day of week, in your time zone, show when to post or keep an eye on WhatsApp.

How visits, views and inquiries are counted

  1. 1

    One visit per session

When someone opens your store, from the catalog or from a lamp’s link, one visit is counted. Reloading the page or coming back in the same browser session doesn’t add another.

  2. 2

    One view per lamp opened

Each lamp a customer opens gets one view per session, whether they came from the catalog or from a shared link.

  3. 3

    Every tap counts

Taps on the WhatsApp button, searches, lights switched on and shares add up as they happen.

  4. 4

    No personal data

Only the date, device type, referring site, country, search terms and a random session code are stored. No name, phone number or other detail about the visitor is recorded.

What catalog analytics include

At the top you pick the period, 7, 30 or 90 days, and see four numbers. Visitors, lamp views, WhatsApp inquiries and conversion, which is inquiries per visitor. Each one is compared with the previous period of the same length.

Below is a day-by-day chart of visitors and inquiries, the list of most viewed lamps with their inquiries, and the hours and days with the most visits. Then come devices, referring sites, countries, search terms, the share of visitors who switched the lights on, how many times a lamp was shared and how often you opened TV mode.

It’s all in the Statistics section of your dashboard. There’s no tracking code to install and no other tool to connect.

How to use the numbers to make decisions

Numbers mean more in comparison than alone. Check the chart before and after you put up the QR code, change the window display or post a lamp on social media, and look at the referring sites to see which channel brought people in.

If a lamp sits near the top of the most viewed list but barely gets inquiries, review its price, description or dimensions. If one never shows up, it may need a different name. The most viewed lamps are also good candidates for the window or the in-store screen.

What catalog analytics don’t measure

The inquiries you see are taps on the WhatsApp button, not messages sent or sales. If someone taps the button and never sends the message, it still counts, and sales you close in chat or in the store don’t show up.

They don’t show who each visitor is either. Your own visits aren’t counted while you’re signed in to Lucy, but they are if you check the store from another phone or browser.

Frequently asked questions

Are analytics included in the plan?

Yes. They’re part of the single US$20 monthly plan, along with the catalog, the QR code, TV mode and every other feature. You’ll find them in the Statistics section of your dashboard, with nothing to install or connect.

Is any personal data about visitors stored?

No. Each visit is recorded with the date, device type, referring site, country and a random session code that identifies no one. No names, phone numbers, emails or other details about the people browsing your catalog are kept.

Why don’t visits match the inquiries I get?

Because they measure different things. A visit is someone opening your store, and an inquiry in your analytics is a tap on the WhatsApp button. Plenty of people browse without writing, some tap the button and never send the message, and others message you without going through the catalog.

Can I connect Google Analytics?

Not at the moment. There’s no option to add Google Analytics or another measurement tool to the catalog. Lucy’s analytics cover visits, views, WhatsApp inquiries, traffic sources, devices, countries, searches and visit times, with nothing to install.

Do my own visits count?

No, as long as you’re signed in to Lucy in that browser. If you check the store from another phone or without signing in, that visit counts like any other. Each browser session counts once, so reloading the page doesn’t inflate the number.
