In short

A catalog for lamp manufacturers has to work for the retailer deciding what to stock and for the end customer deciding what to buy. Lucy builds an online showroom with every model by day and lit at night, one address to share with your retail network and a QR code for printed catalogs, for US$20 a month.

What usually slows a manufacturer down

  • Product shots without a room

A factory shot on white works for the spec sheet, but retailers and end customers want to see the model in a home. Producing that photo model by model takes time and budget.

  • Retailers keep asking for images

Each reseller makes do. Some crop your PDF, others snap photos in their shop under poor light, and your line looks different everywhere it is sold.

  • Nobody sees the model lit

The light coming through a shade, a glass diffuser or perforated metal is what sells a lamp, and it almost never makes it into the catalog.

  • Launches reach stores late

A new model can be in production and still have no images retailers can show. Meanwhile, they sell whatever already has a picture.

How a manufacturer gets started with Lucy

  1. 1

    Decide what to show

Choose the full line or a selection, and whether to show a suggested retail price or leave prices blank. Both work.

  2. 2

    Subscribe and send the catalog

Start the US$20 monthly plan and share your product photos with names and dimensions. The ones already in your catalog will do.

  3. 3

    The Lucy team loads it

Every model gets a day scene and a night scene with the light on, in the style that best suits the collection.

  4. 4

    Share it with your network

Send the address to your retailers, print the QR code on catalogs and hang tags, and use TV mode in the factory showroom or at a trade show booth.

A catalog for lamp manufacturers that works down the chain

A manufacturer sells twice. First you convince the retailer the model will move, then you help them move it. A catalog with every lamp staged by day and lit at night works in both conversations.

For the retailer, it shows how your line looks in a home, which is how they will pitch it. For the end customer, it answers the question they ask in the shop before buying, how it looks switched on. And since it all lives at one address, a retailer in another city sees exactly what you see.

What to do about wholesale prices

Lucy has one price per product and the showroom is public. There are no per-customer price lists, no password-protected access and no order taking. So pick one of two paths. Show the suggested retail price, which helps both the retailer and the end customer, or leave prices blank and keep sending your wholesale list as you do now.

If you publish prices, the bulk adjustment applies a percentage increase to the whole catalog in one step. Models with a different increase you edit one by one from the dashboard.

Enquiries come to your number

The WhatsApp button on each lamp opens a chat with the phone number you set, with the model's name and link. If your retailers share your showroom with their customers, those enquiries reach you. For a manufacturer that also sells direct, that is a plus. If you would rather the enquiry go to the retailer, each retailer can run its own showroom with your lamps.

Analytics show which models get the most views. It is an early signal for what to produce next or what to push with your retailers.

Frequently asked questions

Can my retailers get private access with wholesale prices?

No. The Lucy showroom is public and has a single price per product. If you do not want wholesale prices on show, leave the price blank or enter the suggested retail price, and keep sending your price list to retailers through your usual channel.

Does the QR code open a specific model?

No. The QR code downloads as PNG or SVG with your logo and opens your full showroom, where customers search by name or description. Keep the model name in Lucy the same as on the box, the hang tag or the printed catalog so people find it fast.

Does the scene change my lamp's design?

No. The scene is generated from your product photo and keeps the model's shape, color and materials. What changes is the setting, a furnished room in one of the five styles. The real dimensions go on each product page.

Does it work for showing the line at a trade show?

Yes. Open TV mode from your dashboard on a screen at the booth and it plays each model full screen, first by day and then lit, with its name and price if you entered one. It shows the whole line switched on without hanging every lamp.

What does it cost a manufacturer?

The same as any store, US$20 a month with everything included. There are no charges per product or per image, so a long line costs the same as a short one. The Lucy team handles the initial catalog load, and you can cancel anytime.
